Ma Wo Anɔpa Mu Nhyira

Start your week with fresh energy, uplifting words, and sunshine for the soul.

Story:

“When I was a child, Mondays had a rhythm all their own. The air was cooler, the birds seemed louder, and the smell of the morning’s first firewood cooking would drift across the neighborhood. My grandmother was always up first, her wrapper tied neatly, broom in hand, sweeping the compound as the rooster called. She’d push open the wooden shutters, letting in the crisp breeze, and sing an old Twi hymn that wrapped the house in calm.
She believed the way you began Monday shaped your whole week. She’d come to my room, pull back the curtains, smile, and say, ‘Ma wo anɔpa mu nhyira’ — ‘Let me bless your morning.’ With a short prayer and a sprinkle of water for freshness, she’d send me out into the world ready for anything. This episode carries that same tradition — music that feels like that first breath of morning air, and stories that plant good seeds for the days ahead.”
